Apollo High School’s programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills

Our goal and philosophy

Apollo High School’s programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they will need to lead satisfying and productive lives. The programs are intended to prepare students for further education and work, and to assist them in becoming independent, productive, and responsible members of society.

Apollo High School has the educational philosophy that knowledge is constructed by individuals and not deposited by an instructor. We aim to provide students with an education that stimulates thought and curiosity. The balance consists of providing students with enough of a challenge to provoke interest and thought, without overwhelming students or underestimating their potential.

A multicultural awareness also shapes our strategies and school philosophy as a whole, creating an environment where culturally relevant teaching can exist. The school system at Apollo High School has been organized to provide as broad a scope of programs as possible to all students and, at the same time, to deal effectively with the special needs and interests of students. or info (at) apollohs.ca

Apollo High School will publish annually a school program and this course calendar in print and electronic form that provides students and their parents with detailed and up-to date information on diploma requirements, programs, and courses available in the school.

Apollo High School values every student and helping them to reach their goals is our mandate. The school is committed to reach every student to help him or her achieve a successful outcome from the secondary school experience. This means that the environment is safe emotionally, mentally and physically for everyone. It is a place where learning is fostered and positive growth can occur.

Apollo High School is follows a semestered system. Semester 1 starts in September and Semester 2 starts in January. School ends in June and there is summer school in July and August. Class is from 8:30am until 4:05pm. Every course has a duration of 110 hours. The timetable is organized by the owner and is created with the student’s success in mind.

Every student in Ontario need to remain in secondary school until the student has reached the age of eighteen or obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Our visa students are under this requirement unless they return home to their home country. If the student chooses to attend another school after being at ours, we will forward the required documents to the new establishment.
